1-Day Introduction to Systematic Reviews workshop for Evidence Consumers
Target audience: Policy makers, clinicians or researchers who aim to understand or critique systematic reviews for informing decision making and clinical practice.
Contents: This one-day workshop aims to introduce a practical way of interpreting and use of Cochrane review evidence. It covers the topics on the process of systematic reviews, essential understanding of the risk of bias, forest plot, heterogeneity, the summary of findings table and Certainty of Evidence grading.
2-Day Basic Systematic Reviews workshop for Evidence Synthesis
Target audience: Policy evaluators, clinicians or researchers who aim to conduct systematic reviews
Contents: This two-day workshop provides the essential guidance of entire systematic review process, referring to the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions. It covers the topics on developing a focused question (PICO method) and effective literature search strategy, assessing the risk of bias of studies, conducting meta-analysis using Review Manager and understanding the results (e.g. forest and funnel plots) and heterogeneity.
